SDI Announces New President Stephen C. Smith

SDI congratulates Mr. Smith and anticipates much continued success under his leadership.

stevesmith2System Dynamics International (SDI) Chairman and CEO Pam White announced today that Stephen (Steve) C. Smith has been named as the new President of SDI. He will also become a member of the six-member Board of Directors. Mr. Smith joined SDI in February 2012 as Vice President, and his promotion is the culmination of a succession plan in place for the executive management of the company.

Mr. Smith has over 30 years of experience serving not only as a commissioned officer and aviator in the U.S. Army but also in the defense industry as a Program Manager, Director of Aviation Training and Simulation, Vice President for Business Development, and Vice President for Operations. Mr. Smith retired as a Colonel after serving in various command and staff positions in the U.S. Army to include commanding an attack aviation battalion during Operation Iraqi Freedom and also serving on the Army Staff in the Pentagon.  Mr. Smith is a 1980 graduate of Brunswick Academy in Lawrenceville, Virginia and received his undergraduate degree from Virginia Tech. Mr. Smith also holds two Master’s degrees; a Master of Military Art & Science from the US Army’s Command and General Staff College at Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas and a Master of Science in National Security Strategy from the National Defense University in Washington, DC.
