SDI President Steve Smith Graduates from Leadership Huntsville

Former SDI employee Juanita Harris was the guest speaker for the evening's ceremonies.

IMG 0600croppedIMG 0599croppedSDI President Steve Smith recently graduated from Leadership Huntsville/Madison County Flagship Class 29. Participants from diverse backgrounds gain expanded knowledge of the community, develop relationships and acquire skills to assume a more active and effective volunteer role in addressing community needs. Mr. Smith’s small group from the class focused on character development. They assisted the North Alabama Character Foundation (NACF) with its inaugural 2016 Character Summit held earlier this year at the Columbia High School campus. Speaking about his time in Class 29, Mr. Smith adds that “Leadership Huntsville is not only a great way to get to know the leaders in our community but more importantly it helps leaders learn the needs of the community and how to make an impact in meeting those needs."

Also in attendance at the graduation ceremony was former SDI employee Juanita Harris as the guest speaker for the evening. She now serves as Director for AMRDEC's Weapons Development and Integration (WDI) Directorate at Redstone Arsenal.

Leadership Huntsville/Madison County serves as a catalyst to identify, educate, inspire and connect leaders to better serve the Huntsville/Madison Countycommunity in order to shape the future of the community by building a continuum of enlightened and engaged leaders. SDI looks forward to the wealth of knowledge and insight acquired by Mr. Smith during his Leadership Class as it applies to his presidency of the company.
