Huntsville Business Leader and SDI President and CEO Lisa Williams named to BCA Board of Directors.

MONTGOMERY—The president and CEO of the Business Council of Alabama announced today that Lisa Williams, president and CEO of System Dynamics International(SDI), has been named to the BCA board of directors for 2012.

 

“Lisa’s passion for job creation made her the perfect addition to our board of directors,” said BCA President and CEO William J. Canary.  “Her involvement in the Huntsville business community and her executive leadership experience will be a great asset to our organization as we continue our work to put the private sector first in Alabama.”

 

Ms. Williams was the founder and president of 3D Research Corporation from 1997-2006.  Williams joined SDI as president and CEO in March of 2011.

 

In 2004, she was named Small Business Person of the Year for Alabama by the U.S. Small Business Administration as well as the 2004 Top 10 Women Entrepreneurs of America. The Huntsville-Madison County Chamber of Commerce has also named her Executive of the Year in 2004.  The Women’s Economic Development Council honored Williams in the technology category at their 2004 Women Honoring Women awards ceremony.  The University of Alabama in Huntsville awarded Williams the UAH Business Fellow Award in 2004 and the Distinguished Alumnus Award in 2005.
