Algorithm Development

SDI has a well established sensor oriented algorithm development capability that includes automatic target recognition (ATR), sensor fusion and signature analysis efforts across a wide range of infrared, electro-optical and radar sensors. Our Ladar ATR work has included the development of traditional geometry based algorithms as well as multi-discriminant, polarized, multi-spectral algorithm suites. We have developed an original evolutionary programming algorithm (e) and applied it extensively to a variety of targeting and classification problems. SDI has also developed a synthetic modeling verification methodology that quantitatively compares synthetic images/signatures to measured data using weapon system processing algorithms and non-linear dimensionality reduction (NLDR).
